Ok..I think the weightage they give to gpas/Academic Record v/s the weightage they give to test scores would probably be the part most people would like to know about the application. Lets try to settle this here once and for all - since there are so many people who seem to know their stuff.
You may quote books, display statistics, give examples or whatever else it takes to prove your case.
I have a few examples which I will elaborate on later in the thread. Let me gather my facts together.
