ive been offered by the school to take in the MUPHAS (melbourne university program for high achieving students), for maths.

but it'll take up a lot of my time, so i prolly won't have time to study for the SAT and my other subjects.

my question is, do you think this program would be of any value when applying for colleges in the united states?

I'm not familiar with MUPHAS specifically, but college math courses in high school are certainly a good thing, which will look impressive to any college you apply to, esp if you want to do some sort of math/engineering/science. I wouldn't worry too much about time taken away from studying for the SAT. You may be getting a very skewed picture of that from this board. Most students, even top students, only spend a few hours familiarizing themselves with the exams. Time for your other subjects is another matter, and something you'll have to consider.
