Hey i was just wondering if some of you could tell me (of the good schools like Ivies, UCs, NYU etc) how they weigh the GPAs. I know UCs take 8 semesters. Do other schools take unlimited AP/IB weight, or some none at all?
Thanks a whole bunch

No, UCs don't take 8 semesters grade to calculate GPA; they only look at 10th and 11th grades.
But I'm not sure if they look at 12th grade also...
I'm cofused with the way UCs calculate GPA because I have some repeated classes (but not exactly the same, like I took same kind of classes at community college also).

oh no, i meant they allow up to 8 semesters of harder (AP) courses to be weighted, after that, they cut it off

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood...
I don't worry about that since I have never taken more than 8 AP courses. ;)

I mean, 8 semesters of AP classes.
