If good colleges like Duke (talent search summer program) and Cornell send you Pre-college programs (the summer thing) catalog and application does that mean they are interested in you? or they are just trying to make money

Usually the Duke programs are operated by TIP and based on SAT scores. The university will tell you that the programs are not usually directly affiliated with their admissions office, but they are operated by a separate office altogether. Yes, they are money-making programs, but they are reputedly excellent and impressive on any college application.
