If you have a recommendation from Hilary Clinton, you're pretty much in at all the schools you mentioned. Wow, that owns.

cool, can i get in, without her rec though?

That is sweet. However, I heard somewhere that celebrity recommendations don't help you that much...

I suspect you will do about 50-50 with that list. A very good record, but neither the SATs nor the GPA will make you among the most competitive applicants. If you, I would drop one of the reaches and add a match school.

I agree with Anotherdad, you should drop a reach and add a "possible". You have a good chance at Tufts and NYU.
Help me pick a school!

my dad is alumni at georgetown, and, i think i will drop that whole stanford, princeton opr harvard idea and apply to northwestern, i know it is a reach, but alot less than the others

Which "bball" are you talking about... the "base" variety or the "basket"? If it's the latter, and you were all-state, you're golden. Even if it's baseball, having the college coach at any of those places (Ivies included) lobbying for your admission is a big plus.

By Anotherdad (Anotherdad) on Tuesday, September 09, 2003 - 05:15 pm: Edit

When did that happen? Chrisy equated Tufts and NYU and I checked 351 Best Colleges, and they have identical stats. Both 1250-1430 SAT; 27 and 28% acceptance (NYU under 25% this year) and 72 and 70 percent in the top ten %. Go back three years and Tufts edged out NYU in all the categories, but Tufts stats have remained the same (very good) and NYU's have caught up.

Try Vassar. About the same stats as NYU/Tufts, but looking for boys. Baseball a big plus there. Don't know about basketball.
