I literally had a family crisis my freshman and sophomore year.. it screwed my GPA totally over.. Now i'm only at a 2.25, I am taking an AP class this year.. and I plan to do well.. I also volunteer at the hospital because I would like to major in a medicine program in college.. PLEASEEE give me feedback on this.. it's seriously stressing me out.

What state you are in is important. Had a neice in CA who spent 2 years in CC the at a U of C and is now at UCLA med school. In other states I know the CCs aren't worth going to. If you are interested in Nursing then a 2 year associates degree may be a good way into the field giving you a chance for the BS later. You need to give us some clues about your interests if you want more.

Whatever you do don't say you're a pre-med.
You really should take your SAT's over, and ask your mom/dad to call your counselor to explain your family crisis, and he/she will subtly incorporate that into the counselor recommendation.

I took a look at their website, and your SAT score is in range (though it wouldn't hurt to try to improve it). Your GPA is about a point less than average, which is not horribly out of line. It says they give serious consideration to anyone in the top half of their class. It also looks like they have a "summer developmental program" for people in special circumstances. You might want to make an appointment with an admissions counselor at the school (in person if possible), explain the whole nine yards, and he/she might give you some idea about how your special circumstance might be accommodated.
