At NYU, there is a similar rumor. They apparantly have announced that they are going to NYC for college. One of them was definitely spied at NYU two weeks ago on a tour.
It is also rumored that Lindsey Lohan was coming to NYU next year.
But hey, there are two of them. Enough for Columbia and NYU to share. Then they wouldn't have to decide and could switch dorms and schools whenever they wanted and no one would know.

I think that the "airheads" have done remarkably well for themselves. I read a story somewhere that they have built an empire worth several hundred million dollars. Regardless if they were instrumental to the success or not, that is a lot better than most young stars ever accomplish.

Rumor around virginia is that they're going to JMU... Of course I think that's ridiculous and Columbia sounds ALOT more realistic for who they are, but who knows.

uhh i know how old they are because i was born the date they were ^.^ they are 15 and those rumors are untrue, i saw on tv 1 year back they were interested in rutgers new brunswick they said"we take extreme interest in rutgers" thats a hint not an answer

they're seventeen. my neighbor knows them personally. they are going to go to the same school, not split up. they are VERY smart and have made MILLIONS of dollars from movies, TV, fashion, jewelry, makeup, etc.

they're looking at several schools, of course nothing is definitly because they haven't applied yet! of course, they'll probably get in just about anywhere they apply b/c they have good grades and SAT scores besides being rich and famous.

this whole topic is rediculous (sp?) they're just teens like you and me.

Just to add to the rumor mill:

Gossip I've heard claims that the Olsen girls were looking at Miami of Ohio, but liked NYC schools more. Not a fan of them myself (hate the commercialized teenybopper craze), but one must respect 17 year olds who garner their own financial empire of sorts before they graduate high school.

BTW, read in Vanity Fair that Lindsey Lohan is a junior in h.s. now, so NYC could brace itself for another two years. (-;

Jesus. There were tons of rumors around my area just for what high schools they were looking at. Naturally, they can travel around the entire US as much as they want just LOOKING at schools. They can't have decided where they'll go yet, and I'm sure schools will be ready to reject them because it might give them a bad rep.

Hmm, weird about Lindsay Lohan. But then again, the Vanity Fair came out a few months ago, so that was probably referring to last year. I know that she did recently turn 17, so it'd make sense if she's a senior unless she started late.

Haha, it'd be awesome to go to school with any of these people, but ALL these rumors? People are really infatuated

Judging from what I read in Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone, they're both definately looking towards Columbia. Ashley has a steady boyfriend there, and they both already stated that they'd like to attend a private college in New York.

Columbia also happens to be one of the colleges on my application list...so you never know...

The Olsen twins are going to Tisch, something I know because someone in my school was just accepted and was bragging about how he may meet/get to know them.
