Hi, I was wondering how colleges viewed and calculated your gpa. At my school, during my freshman and sophomore years, I would usually receive mostly B+s on first semster grades but essentially all A-s for second semster and final grades. Our school bases your gpa off of final grades, so it has not affected me greatly. If i were to receive As and A-s for both first semster and final grades in my junior year, would i still have a shot at the top schools/possibly somne ivies? Currently my gpa is about 3.7, and i may be in the top 10% still. The bulk of my question is whether my college selection process will be greatly limited by those first semster B+s or not, since they all improved by the end of the year.
