I'm an int'l student. I took IB Comp. Sci in junior year The IB course is like AP, but it's supposed to be a two year course. However, THAT CLASS WAS NO LONGER OFFERED BECAUSE ALL THE PEOPLE WHO TOOK IT DROPPED IT AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER. The reason we dropped it was we learned ABSOLUTELY nothing in that class. I took AP Biology instead. I applied to MIT and put down MATH and CS as my intended major. My question is, does this look very bad on my transcript? Should I ask my counselor to explain that this course has been cancelled because not enough people chose it?(There's a minimum # of enrollment requirement in our school district)

obviously yes "
But is such an explanation acceptable and sufficient? Should I continue self-study CS or do something similar thing?
Above all, will this little speck ruin my chance once and for all?

Well, are you good at math?
If you've won math contests, I think you can just say that you're interested in applying your math to comp sci.
