Just want to know when to start writing application essays.

Yeah, pretty much. Just make sure that you have enough time to be able to edit it and make a couple drafts until you're satisfied. To tell you the truth, I probably have about 4 to write, and I've only partially done one so far. It really depends on whether you wanna do the early thing and how many schools you're applying to. I say around 2 weeks should be more than enough time.
