Better to spend your time with other things you actually want to do than doing community service just for college. But as we all know from psychology, attitudes follow behavior, so if you force yourself to do community service, maybe you'll discover that it's not so bad after all.

I guess its mandatory to graduate, but the hours that want you to do isnt that much. Your in high school for 4 years, and my county says we have to do 60 hours, so its not that big of a deal.

That's fascist. "Work for the community without compensation or else!" Mandatory community service (not as punishment) is completely out of place in this supposedly free, entrepreneural country. Already paying taxes, jeez.
