Is it a good idea to keep in touch with admissions personel, or do they generally feel bothered by a student's continued questions? Any advice?

I don't know.
But if you are extraodinary in personal skills. you might try to get known to admission people.

If you have a thoughtful question that's not answered by their web site, then go ahead and ask. If you're just keeping in touch to try to look like you're interested, then don't bother. That kind of contact is simply irritating.
