Hi, I would like some advice about colleges. I am a senior with a 1450 SAT (720 Verbal 730 Math). I am from the midwest, and I have a 34 composite on my ACT. I am not sure what I want to study in college, but I have been considering archaeology as a possibility. I am interested in being a museum curator. I am interested in Brown, Duke, Washington University, Brandeis, and other schools. I have many activities, good writing skills, and a 4.0. I am in runnings for valedictorian. I was wondering what you think my chances are at these schools, and if there are any other schools you would recommend for me? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Jessica. Check out Chicago for archaeology - their Oriental Institute has a fabulous collection of artifacts, and as far as I know they are still very active internationally. You should get a look at competitive colleges - a lot will depend on your ECs, too. Read books like A is for Admission or America's Elite Colleges to get an idea of how admission decisions are made. Good luck!
