Hi again guys -
I am at the SC Gov School for the Arts studying piano and have recently applied ED to Princeton University. My stats can't compete with some of the others I've read on this board, but I thought my attendance at a residential arts school might give me a boost. Please clue me in if I'm wrong about this.
Stats:
SAT I 780M 740V
SAT II 710lit 690bio 640math1
APs- chem, calcABBC, physics, english, psych, french, music history (3), biology (4)
I do my share of service, but I haven't started any revolutions. 140 hrs hospital, gov school service-learning leader (organizing, mostly), plenty of b.s. clubs and the head of a few of them. Played soccer for a bit, debate at old school...again, nothing extraordinary...I'm definately motivated, but I haven't saved the homeless people with 500,000 cans of food etc.
I've put about 24 hours every week into piano for the past 9 years and have won several state competitions. I sent Princeton a CD and plan to do so for all the schools I apply to.

I am Asian and I play the piano. That's going to hurt, isn't it? I immigrated here when I was 7 and didn't know English, and I wrote admissions an essay about my experience. *keeping my fingers crossed that it will make a difference!*

I know Princeton's in the air even for the best out there...so, georgetown, duke, chicago, HYP...

Does the little note in admissions booklets that say "without regard to race" mean anything?

Thanx.
