Im taking 3 APs, one AP last year and since freshman year, I've had five honors courses. My school doesn't weight or add points no matter how AP your courses are. I have been fed so much different info on averages-weighting is good/bad, etc. So is it better when I apply to college that my average is slightly lower since it hasn't been weighted-but its obvious Ive been challenging myself as much as I can (I can't do severe honors in math. I suck at math), or would it be more preferential that my average is higher because of being weighted?

I have been told that colleges just take your grades and recalculate them based on their own weighing system. So I guess it doesn't matter.

emalia, I have the same problem. While I agree with FHLOVER that colleges recalculate GPA, schools that do not weight have unjust rankings...and ranking DO matter! Right now, two students ranked number 3 and number 4 at my school take no APs or honors. I will have 9 at the end of this year. Many others ahead of me are also thus unfairly placed. Alas!
