Hey guys, Before the october test date, I decided to sign up for the SATII's in november. In october, I took Math IIC, Writing, and Chemistry. I did not have much time to study for any of those, and I thought I didn't do great. It turns out that I got a 750 on math (77%tile), 740 on Writing (89%tile), and 670 on chemistry (69%tile).
I'm using these to apply to cornell engineering, and my other stats are pretty much borderline with their admissions (31 ACT Composite (w/ 35 math), #32 in a class of 1102 (top 3%)). I know that I will retake the chemistry, and most likely the math (math is my strong point, I should be able to get an 800). Is it worth it to retake the Writing? I got a 35 on ACT english on one of my test dates, so I may be able to raise the writing score a little.
Basically, I haven't had much time to study, and if I took the chemistry test again next weekend, it would be the same knowledge I had last time + a few hours of studying a review book. So, I changed the november tests to december.
Does anyone prefer any good study guides for the IIC and chemistry? I think I'm gonna leave my writing score as it is, does a 740 look impressive to cornell? the percentile seems to be higher on writing

I wouldn't take the SAT IIs again at all if I were you. You have some killer scores. Man, a 750 on the IIC is the 77th percentile? How many did you omit?

I think I ended up omitting like 7. I just couldn't get to the end. I'm hoping that if I can pace myself a little better I can get an 800. I don't think I'll bother retakign writing, and I should really focus on getting that 670 in chemistry up, don't you think?

Yeah, I got Phys800, Chem740, Writ720, M2C690, Lit 620, World600. Then I applied to MIT early action. I'm 99% sure I'm not getting in.
