How do you send your AP scores to colleges?

Most applications only have a couple slots and what if you took 8 exams? DO you make a copy of the grade report that came in the mail and send it in along with your application?

You need to have Collegeboard send an official Score Report to colleges, otherwise colleges cannot determine the veracity of your self-claimed scores. go to www.collegeboard.com/apcentral for more info.

Wait until May in your senior year when you actually take the test. Then choose your college since by then you'd already know if you're admitted.

If you want them to consider it for admissions purposes, have an official transcript sent by the College Board. Most high schools also list AP scores on your transcript (check with your registrar). If you don't want it for admissions and only want it for credit, forget about it until you take the APs may of your senior year.

AP scores themselves mean absolutely NOTHING! Its the fact that you took the classes that actually have some influence. save the $13 or whatever and don't bother sending them, hell i took 13 AP's with 5's on all but two and I didn't send them, made absolutely no difference at all.

Adcom at Amherst said at the info session on Thursday, 7/31/03, that you can save yourself the College Board fee by just writing down your AP scores on your app. HTH
