There's a book called the College Finder that has a list of "the Top undergraduate programs in biology." Here's what's on their list:
Austin College (TX)
Calif. Institute of Technology
UC San Diego
Franklin and MArshall
U of Indiana Bloomington
U of Iowa
UMich Ann Arbor
SUNY at GEneseo
U of Oregon
U of Rochester
St. Olaf C
Southwestern U (Texas)
Trinity College (CT)
Washington U in St. Louis
U of Wisc. Madison
College of Wooster
There's something for everyone on this list - if you're Ivy league quality, go for Yale, Cornell, Princeton, Harvard. A step below and wanting a smaller school, Reed, Carleton, Whitman, Rhodes and Grinnell are all excellent schools. Middle of the road in stats, look at College of Wooster, Ursinus, St. Olaf.
