How selective is Penn for biology major?

They don't admit based on major but rather based on school. The biology major is in the College, which is fairly selective, but not as selective as Wharton. Early decision acceptance rates in the college are about 30-35% and regular decision probably around 15% for an overall blend of around 20%. That said if the applicants has a particular passion for biology and Penn thinks that he/she could make significant contributions to the department, that could help the applicant.
