Hello, I am a sophomore with only a paltry list of ECs. Besides these, I enjoy building model tanks (1/35th scale) and writing, esp. political articles, editorials fiction about war, and writing encyclopedias about non-existant galactic empires.

Currently, I have only:
-NFL member (I wasted a whole year doing policy before making up my mind to change to Original Oratory)
-Varsity Academic Bowl (One of my biggest passions since 6th grade)
-One school play under my belt
-Writing for the school literary magazine
-3th year Volunteering with the Chinese American Leo's club
-IPMS (International Plastic Modelers Society; I'm gonna enter a contest in Sept.)
-Drawing during my free time

Can anyone here suggest some more ECs for someone like me? Or maybe some contests I could enter? I'm probably going to have have a larger list of solid smaller activities rather than one big Westinghouse or Presidential Scholar (US M4 Shermans vs German Tiger IIs).

By the way, how can I convey my interest for journalism effectively to colleges even though I'm not a member of the school paper (I think the school paper is nothing more than state-controlled liberal propaganda)? Something like an internship with the atlanta journal constitution or something(that's where I live)? I'd also like to know if anyone here's written any editorial or opinion-related articles for a major paper, domestic or overseas, especially in Japan, China, or Russia.

Please excuse my strangeness.
