Why is the curve so large?
800 is only the 91th percentile.

800 is NOT 91st percentile. How could it be?

is there a really high curve? i heard there was...but is it bad not to take a math sat 2 test? (i didnt take any yet and dont really want to...)

It is the 91 percentile -- not due to curve though.
9% get 800

It's because a lot of really smart people take Math IIC and dumb people do not. So scores are concentrated on mid to high 700's.
Yet there is a big curve. You can get a raw score of 42/50 and still get 800

Yeah, I skipped 4 questions on that test and still got an 800. The curve is easy, but the questions are hard.

You guys are so lucky. I skipped six questions and got a 720 on the Math IIC. That was the 69th percentile!!!!
