What kind of stats are average for out of state applicants to places like UNC-CH, UVA, UMich. It seems like there stats might be a little low due to not as competitive in state admissions. What I am trying to ask is about how many points should I add to the SAT, ACT, GPA to get a true representation of my chances from out of state at these schools.

I heard that 17,000 applicants applied to UNC-CH. Out of those 17,000, 10,000 were from out of state. It's a NC law that at least 77% of applicants have to come from NC. Therefor, if you apply there in-state, your practically guaranteed to get in. While if your out-of-state applying it's extremely hard. I don't know about the rest.

Anyone know of any stats for UM or UVA?

uva is required to have 67% in state...but proposal in legislation that would cut uva state funding but allow them to head in direction of privatization...unfair to people who pay taxes to uva...oh well
