I've noticed that pretty much all colleges state that they value academics, test score, rigor of curriculum etc... first and foremost. Yes, I've rad the stories about ppl w. 1600s being rejected from harvard, but dont you think that tons of 5s on APs, 1600s and 800s as well as a great GPA are still worth more than you make out to be.
Please feel free to dissent

of course they are worth it, and are very important
thing is: THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of people apply to college, and among them, thousands and thousands get perfect scores, have great grades, and do well on AP exams.
Along with that: Thousands and Thousands have lots of great activities
honestly, college acceptances have a lot to do with plain ole luck.
Because so many people desire to go to college more than ever before, it is really hard to have something that sets one apart from "the rest of the crowd"
