i'm sorry
you still didn't get an official letter from them yet, tho right? where did you send your deposit?
| By Quarky (Quarky) on Thursday, June 05, 2003 - 06:58 pm: Edit |
According to what they told me, there is no letter. It's just a phonecall to those who got in. Those who didn't get in will get their rejection letters in a few weeks. I didn't get a phonecall, so it's pretty much over for me now.

I'm getting a job, so I can have some spending money at Cornell
. Why does it seem like no one on this board gets a job? Everyone seems to be obsessed with getting into college, and taking summer classes. You know, a job is just as good for college, and probably more unique. And you're MAKING money instead of SPENDING it.

I have a job, but I don't like it. ANd, as opposed to you, I am working nearly full-time during the summer to make education more affordable. I am not even talking about spending money.....

taking econ at summer school because AP Econ causes too many scheduling conflicts during the school year (grrr...), doing required summer reading for AP Government and AP English Language and Comp, visiting CORNELL (
) again and other colleges, starting apps and essays, catching up on a lot of sleep, reading harry potter

is it stupid to visit 2 colleges in a day? (for a total of 10 colleges in a week?)

School just ended, i'm spending two weeks doing...NOTHING! (except sleeping in, watching TV, hang out with friends blah blah)
Then off to England! I'm visting family and then doing the Oxford summer program. (studying politics/economics and war in world history). this will be my first ever "college experience." I've never been this independent and so far away from my parents before. hehe
Then off to Mexico for Vacation w/ Family
and then do all my homework and summer reading....umm sometime before school starts =)! and then AHHHHH!!!! the horror of Junior Year begins =( *scary music starts to play*

Nj Governor's School of Public Issues and then the college search road trip. I work during the school year instead of the summer, so I'll start earning money again in September. Until then, I'm broke.
