Hi,
Collegeboard say that a new version of SAT will be given in 2005, I also said there have been a version change in the 1990s. When was the last version change of the SAT, and what's in that change?
thanks

dunno the last change of SAT.
the new change will be an additional section of writing, and analogy stuff in verbal section will be replaced by shorter reading passages.

The last change on the SAT occurred in 1995 when they recentered the score on the Verbal portion. Before 1995, the average verbal score was 440 (which was way below the average of 500 that they had several years before), so the College board fiddled with the scores and moved the average median score on the verbal portion to 500, and this in turn, moved up everybody's verbal score by 60 points. This is why you can't compare your score with that of someone who took the SAT before 1995.

Also, in 1994 they eliminated the antonyms section in verbal. I think they added the sentence completions then but I'm not really sure.
I'm not positive but I also think they allowed calculators after this point, whereas before you weren't allowed to bring anything into the test.
