I am doing it this year and I am wondering how much it will help with college. I mean winning the whole thing will help of course, but I mean what about going to regionals etc. How strongly does that reflect on college admissions officers?

just see it as another competition.. like usamo or something. but better 'cuz research takes greater dedication.
