I was wondering how many schools require SAT II's for admission or placement. I know that Duke, for example, requires I think 3 SAT II's when you apply, including the writing one. Do Ivy's require these? What about schools at Duke's level or a little below (Emory, Wake Forest, etc.)? I am only a sophomore and I took AP U.S. History all this year along with the exam, and I was wondering if I should sign up for a U.S. History SAT II as well while the knowledge is still fresh in my head.
Sorry for the long post..thanks for any replies!

Take three and you will never have to worry. Almost every presitgous school requires them, and even with those that do not, like Emory (I think), Brown, and UChicago, it is still nice to have them as an extra boost.

You'll only be able to go to 2nd tier schools without SAT II.

If you take the ACT, you do not have to take any SAT II's unless you are applying to a UC.
