Hey Guys, Have you heard anything new about Stanford's or Caltech's Waiting list???

I have a friend who was waitlisted at Stanford, but there were like 150 people on it, so she's going to attend UCSD instead.

Caltech invited 90 people to be on the list. They expected 75 to accept the offer. I didn't check with them to see how many are actually on the list, because as long as the number is relatively low, I don't care if it's 75 or 15. I want to get in! That's all I care about. Anyway, since some students mail their intent to enroll forms on May 1 and some, who choose not to attend, don't mail them at all, they will receive and have counted the responses by the 14th of May. On that day, I may call them to see if Caltech will go to the Wait List. If yes, then I am guessing it will take a couple more days for them to figure out who's hot and who's not (who's in and who's rejected).

Hey, I also got waitlisted at Caltech, and I also really want to get in. Even still, being waitlisted when they only give the option to 90 people is a pretty good accomplishment. Of course, I would still like to get in.....
