has anyone done that or heard about it ? if so, can you tell me about that person's GPA or other qualities that helped getting in ??
i really want to go to UCLA for my nursing degree..BS and master's because their nursing department also focus in the oncology area..and that's what i want to eventually get into. i screwed up my grades but i know i can get really good grades at other universities when i outta highschool. willl they likely to accept me as a transfer if i get a 3.5 gpa or maybe more at a CSU ??
oh and the requirements to be accepted to school of nursing at UCLA is to have at least one year experience as an RN nurse..does that mean i have to be a nurse for a year before i get to apply ? meaning taking a break from school for a year..

Good luck.
UC's look at community colleges for transfers first..then other colleges, then CalStates.
It can be done, but it is quite difficult and much easier if you are in a California CC.

argh...i was afraid that was true..
problem is i DON'T WANT TO STAY HOME and go to a CC..and on the other hand...it maybe a little stupid to move from san jose to los angeles ..just to go to a CC there and get accepted.
any other suggestions and loopholes to get into UCLA ?? WHY MUST IT BE THE ONLY UC TO HAVE A NURSING SCHOOL ???? ( besides ucsf..which won't count cuz im applyin as undergraduate)

It's true. UC's transfer priority goes like this:
community colleges first, then other colleges, then Cal States, but what militarygrade missed is that other UCs are last on their list.
