Hi,
I have applied to UPenn as a transfer for Fall 2003. I was wondering if you'd be willing to guesstimate my chances.
I applied to be in their Elementary Ed major. Currently, I'm at URochester, with a 4.0 and Premed (I know it's a big switch). I got a 1460 on my SATs and went to a highly competitive high school in Jersey. 14 APs, top 20 in class. I was drum major of my marching band, national merit, won various awards for band, and directed a cancer walk in honor of my father. I am currently ranked in the 99th percentile at UR for freshman year. As I explained in my essay, I would like to be an elementary school teacher in an urban area and I need to be closer to home because of my father's illness. I also wrote a short essay about how I have logged every book I've read since I was 6.
Any ideas? I'm expecting to hear from them soon, but this is driving me insane. Thanks

Will do
I had an interview with the dean of Elementary Ed--she was lovely. It's really a neat program with very few people. I'm hoping to become a reading specialist.
I've called to see when they're going to be notifying people and they've said May 1, May 8, and June. So I'm just hoping to get through finals (ack!) and hold my breath.
