Got UCLA's decision yesterday, Cal's today.

I'm pleased!

Now I just need to get my financial aid award and then choose!

I'm a history major with plans on law school at Harvard or Stanford. Where ought I go?

Stanford's envoirmental Law! My Sister went there and she loved it . That is ranked4th in the country! Amazing Salary,too...

Congratulations! I hope I can follow in your path. You can't go wrong with either Harvard or Stanford, so I guess it comes down to location or financial aid offered, etc. Good luck.

What community college did you go to and what grades did you get while in community college?

I went to Mt San Antonio College in SoCal, and I have a 4.0 GPA with completion of the honors program, various awards, and tons of academic stuff.

Hey, I got into UCLA and CAL too as a cc transfer. I'm currently at Los Angeles Pierce College, and I got accepted as an English major with a 3.75. I have a whole bunch of extra cur stuff too.

Congrats on your acceptances!!! Cal's history dept is very, very good as you know. Was one of my choices as a history major/poli sci minor as well coming out of a CA CC (Diablo Valley). But I ended up at Davis. Think about the different campuses, and the totally different locales. Cal is in northern cali and ucla southern. Big difference.

Where do you feel comfortable and which one are you excited about the most? Stanford is in Palo so that would get you in sync with the local politics and networking/internships......but it isn't LA. How that would play if you end up in Boston could also change. My good friend from high school ended up at Cal's law school, corporate and tax law. Snooze stuff but she is making a fortune, literally. So you have lots of choices, but that is the cool part....you have choices.

I'm going for corporate law...boring, but CHA-CHING!

I just got my financial aid offer from UCLA. Excluding scholarships, UCLA has offered me a little over $10k in grants, and about $7k in work-study and loans.

If this a strong offer? I'll hear about Regent's soon, as well as other scholarships.

Should I take this offer? I don't know if I should be impressed or not...still gonna wait for Cal's offer, but I don't know if I should expect more or less.

I didn't apply to UCLA, but I did get into Berkeley UCSD and Brown, all for psychology. Reed waitlisted me after all of that!

From what I can tell by following the sobs and cheers at College of Marin the other day, the transfer decisions were more random.

I know of a girl with a 3.2 who got accepted and another with a 3.9 who was denied for the same major with similar EC's.

Unless Brown offers me a large chunk of financial aid ( which isn't looking likely) then I'll be at Berkeley in the Fall. Now the only problem is finding a decently priced apartment in the East Bay.

I got into UCLA and Berkeley too. I decided to go to UCLA. Go Bruins.
