I've also heard good things about Anderson and I know two people going there next year. I also have a friend going to a Christian college in Virginia. I THINK it is called Liberty but I could be wrong, it starts with an L though.

University of San Diego is a Catholic school which some might not consider to fit the definition of a "christian" school. It is a wonderful school, however.

Other schools on the west coast to look into include Whitworth in Washington State and George Fox in Oregon. In San Diego, there Pt. Loma Nazarene and Christian Heritage. In Orange County, Calif. Chapman University and Concordia.

Though christian schools are right for some people, students often do not experience the personal and intellectual growth of more diverse colleges- christian colleges have predominately white, upper-class, religiously conservative students, preventing the exposure to different races, classes, cultures, and ideas that forge character in students and help them identify who they really are, not who their parents are and where they grew up.

I have to disagree with the stereotype that students at Christian schools are sheltered products of force-fed religion. I have been going to VERY large public schools all of my life, and I feel like I am ready for a change. My faith is such an important part of who I am and my relationship with God is my most important part of my life. College years are the years in which you develop your character and identity, and I want my faith to play a role in that. I have experienced the varying viewpoints and ideas of leftist society and I am ready for another step. I can pick up just about any major newspaper and get the liberal view, but you have to look to find the conservative view.

Actually major newspapers aren't liberal if they were they would be more like Mother Jones and less like the Wall street Journal

If you haven't developed your character and identity before you became an adult, I don't think a few more years in a protected enviornment are going to give you what you are looking for.

I don't disagree that a small school will give you the opportunity to test out sides of yourself that haven't been challenged before, but I don't agree with censorship and clamping down on research from professors at religous colleges just becuase it might not follow the party line exactly isn't what education should be about.
Education should be about truth, not dogma
