Hi all. :-) I'm just wondering what you guys think preliminarily about my chances at these schools... More important, what would you recommend that I work to change/improve? I'm only going into my junior year, so I know there's a lot missing... Right now (and who knows how this will change over the next year), I'm looking to apply ED to one of the following schools: Brown, Wellesley, Harvard, Wesleyan, Mt. Holyoke, Amherst, Bowdoin.

**SAT IIs: Writing--790, Math IIC--740 (any reason to retake?), Chem--680 (score choice, not planning to use this one...low because I didn't really prep and had only taken 1 year of chem), Latin--620 (score choice and totally messed up, definitely not using this one) planning to take Bio and US after AP courses next spring...

**SAT Is--haven't taken yet. Sophomore PSATs were ok (around 208), but I'm hoping to raise that score and qualify for national merit this year

**Academics--about a 4.04 unweighted GPA, one AP exam (AP Euro--4), next year AP Bio, AP Latin, AP Lang, AP US, Prob/stat (I'll probably take the AP exam)

**ECs:
soccer (since 7th grade),
track & field,
student council (planning to run for president for senior year, good shot I hope),
one of the leaders of an effort to start a school newspaper (my school doesn't have one),
social service committee,
co-chair Make-A-Wish committee (I'll be creating and organizing community events to raise funds for MAW, hope to get $5,000-10,000 over the next two years),
volunteer peer tutoring though an online program,
organized volunteer projects for my class,
hundreds of hours (probably 1,000 by graduation) spent volunteering in various early childhood settings...including summer volunteer internships at schools for special needs kids (my passion and likely essay topic)

**Hope for a great essay and very strong recs...

Sorry this went on forever...Thank you so much for reading and for any suggestions about what I should work to improve! Good luck to all! :-)
