generally, is this a good thing or a bad thing? because im applying ED to a school that i dont think anyone else from our school has ever applied to(pomona)?

I don't think it really matters. I think schools care more about your track record rather than if any other student preceded you.

Kousuke - it's likely not a good or bad thing.
If Pomona had a positive track record with kids from your school, that would be a good thing, but not having one won't penalize you.
I can think of one circumstance that might give you some marginal help. If your school has a superior academic reputation in your city/state Pomona may want to admit one of its students, in order to generate more applications from the school in the future. They wouldn't skip over students with better academic credentials to do so, however.
