I remember someone saying last year that some school, I think it was Duke, payed for their trip to visit the school. Will a school do this if you ask them? because i live in washington DC and i really want to go to the university of miami but i cant afford to visit right now. Do they only do this if your something special like a recruited athlete?

They only do it for people who are special such as athletes and URMs and extremely stellar academic recruits.
If you can't afford to visit U of Miami do you have any concerns about being able to afford to attend it?

if you get a scholarship and they want you to come visit they might. a few schools did that for me. it usually was just a reimbursment. one school actually had a travel agent send me all the info, tickets, etc.
