I'm applying early decision to the Cooper Union School of Engineering. Part one of the application is available online, and in order to recieve part 2 they need to get part 1. The deadline is December 1. Should I send out part 1?
If yes, in what kind of envelope? Regular mail envelope, or 9 by 12? Part 1 is just basic information: address, name, school etc.

Schools want to get part one ASAP, so that they can start a file on you and collect $$ from you. (Also to set up interviews, if the schools require interviews.)
Most places will allow you to send part one online, even if you send part 2 by mail. If you mail, regular mail envelope will do if you're not sending in too much stuff. If you have part 1 ready to go, send it in.

do you have to send out the check with part one? or can you wait until about a couple weeks before the due date of applications, after youve sent all the other parts of the application?

is that a must? what if youre applying to one school ED? do you still have to send the check with part one of ALL your applications or can you wait until you get rejected from your ED school to send in your check?
