I have been accepted to American University, U of Alabama, and purdue for communications. My top 2 choices are alabama and american. You all seem to know alot about college, so any advice on which to choose would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Sorry, I don't really know anything about any of those schools. I've never heard of the University of Alabama (I live in California, so I'm sure that's why), but I've heard good things about both American and Purdue.

Well, do you want to be in D.C. (huge city), the midwest, or the south?

If you're from the deep south, you probably won't like Purdue. If you're from the midwest, you probably won't like Alabama. And if you hate big cities, you probably won't like American.

Does that narrow it down?

U. of Alabama is pretty weak academically, with 17 percent being in the bottom half of their high school class; it's also a major party school.

American is the strongest of the three academically on paper; I was very underwhelmed when I visited in person, however. Otoh, the educational and cultural opportunties in D.C absolutely smoke Tuscaloosa.

im from california and not really looking for a major party school. It's hard to chooe since i don't know too much about the school's atmospheres.
