Hey, like many others, I am having difficulty posting anything on the "what are my chances?" board. I keep getting internal server messages. So, I am posting here. If a mod could move it that would be cool.

I am looking into mechanical engineering, and I was wondering what my chances were at the following schools: Cornell (ED and RD), Bucknell, Lehigh, Penn State, MIT, and Princeton.
I am also considering a physics/astrophysics major, and am thinking about applying to a few schools for this major as well: Williams College, Columbia, Cornell (Would it be easier to get in for physics than engineering?) So, what do you guys think my chances are?

::GPA: 4.0
::SAT: 690 math
710 verbal
-I know the math is low, I am studying to bring it up now, and should get 730+ on the oct. sat
::SAT II's: math iic - 750, physics - 730, biology - 710, writing - 700
::AP's: Will have taken 8 AP classes by the end of this year, current exam grades are physics 3, us history 3
::Recs should be good
::Essay should be good as well

EC's: -National Art Honor Society, 3 years, President this year
-Olympics of the Visual arts - 2nd place finish in group competition in Saratoga Springs
-Internship at the Cooper Union Research Foundation (research done with two graduate Mechanical Engineers on projects for Con Edison)
-3 years work experience (Staples)
-Various other volunteer walks for breast cancer, MS, etc. blood drives, student gov't, NHS, multiple art awards and appearence in an exhibition at CW Post

Lehigh, bucknell-match
penn state- u r out of state, hard to predict

yes, it is easier to get into physics than engineering

U should also check : Carnegie Mellon, RPI, USC for engineering

not a fan of cooper to be honest. did my internship there and got a feel for it. I need a campus at my college, and it needs to have more kids than my high school ;)
