Hi, I was wondering if anyone could name some colleges that do not have a core curriculum, or don't require students to complete certain classes. I know Brown doesn't, and my friend told me Wesleyan has something similar, but are there any others?
thanks

Smith doesn't have a core curriculum or distribution requirements.

Grinnell - the only requirement is to take a first-year seminar. Just to warn people...not having core curriculum doesn't mean you'll get all the way thru college without any requirements. For example, English majors at Grinnell need to satisfy a foreign language requirement.

Grinnell's tuition is generally lower than a lot of schools because of it's huge endowment (An added bonus).

Pomona...sort of...beyond a language requirement Pomona has what's called a PAC system by which you have to take a class in 10 generall categories (each one probably has close to 15-25 classes in it so you can pick and choose what you really want to take)
