I'll be a junior next year, i'm starting my college search. I need a bit of help as to which colleges i should look into. My cumulative GPA is a 3.9, SATs were on Saturday...don't know the scores...somewhere in the 1200-1300 range. I'm looking to go into Molecular Biology...any type of Biology really..then go to medical school afterwards. Big city...preferably. 7/225. Please help me! I'd like to have a good idea where I want to go. I already have Boston and New York in mind.

Boston and New York won't offer you tons of opportunities but try Boston U. as a match, Boston College as a reach, and Wheaton College (not in Boston but close) as a relative safety. Brandeis and Tufts may also be options, if you can get your SATs above 1300.
In NYC, your choices are NYU (probably a realistic reach if your SATs are in the 1200's), Fordham (a match), Wagner College on Staten Island. Columbia would be a high reach.
If you're willing to consider some schools outside of NYC/Boston, try Colgate, Hamilton, Hartwick, SUNY Binghamton, UMASS Amherst, Williams (possibly), Skidmore, Vassar. You should also look at Dickinson, Lafayette, Connecticutt College, Gettysburg, Franklin & Marshall, and Gettysburg as possibilities. Goucher College in Maryland might make a good safety - right on the outskirts of Baltimore, good pre-med program, looking to recruit males.

For Colgate, Hamilton, Williams, Vassar, the SATs should be closer to 1400 or better. The other ones that Carolyn mentions, they should be in the mid-1300s --
You should also look at Juniata in Pennsylvania which has a well-respected bio program with most grads going onto med school. It, however, is in the middle of Pennsylvania with no easy access to an interstate or large city. But is well worth the look.

I do appreciate the feedback. I'll keep you updated as to what my SAT scores turn out as.I can't remember half of the test. I know I've missed three math questions, and five or six verbals that i've seen. So that's not too bad, i'll just have to see.
