Hi I have a problem. I really want to do film and chemical engineering. I don't know of any school that does both well. I have looked it over and have come between Stanford and USC but both seem to lack in one of the areas making me forced to choose a favorite. Is there any other school or is one of the two above have something that I am missing (i.e. similar social activities or whatever I don't know)? There is another problem though. I was not able to apply this year for either of them because my dad didn't support my descision for film and threw away or hid any mail I got from them and due to further mistakes from me missed their application and scholarship deadlines. Anyway I got into U of I (a fine institution) but it doesn't have film. I would like to transfer and any suggestions about the two schools above or other schools would help me narrow down my search. I have already made the honors program at U of I which is 125 students out of 710 applicants and a class of 6000 and an internship in the chemical engineering research lab. I hope to improve upon these stats to aid in my chances of transfering to another colleges. Any help in this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Does Stanford even have a Film program?

How about Ohio University? It has a highly rated film school and a chemical engineering major. May I ask, do you plan on combining these interests or pursuing them separately. I am trying to envision chemistry films???

I want a back-up plan in case film doesn't work out. It is a very good idea. I keep envisioning California but thank you for the suggestion Pattykk. And to the other I thought it did.
