Help! I have one day to either accept a full scholarship I have at Ramapo, or reject it and go to either Muhlenberg or Albright in Pennsylvania. If the money was not an issue in my family, without a doubt I would pick either Muhlenberg or Albright because I loved those schools so much and I am interested in majoring in biology, which Muhleberg is known for! But I'm stuck because I only got about a $12,000 scholarship for each of those schools, and would have a hard time paying for them. On the other hand, I got a free ride to Ramapo, and it was ok there but it just is not like the other two schools to me, although I am trying hard to like it because of my situation. Any advice about any of these schools would be greatly appreciated!

I think that you should go to whichever school you feel is the best for you. So go with Muhlenberg if that's where you want to go - don't go to someplace you aren't really happy about just because it's free. Worry about the money after you get out - you can always pay back the loan once you get a job. I hope this helps, it's just my opinion. good luck and congratulations on your acceptances.

Which one did you decide?

I decided that I would rather be happy at a college and owe money that I will have to pay back, than go to a school for free, and be unhappy, regretting my decision. So I turned down the free scholarship and now I have more time to decide between Albright and Muhlenberg, which will be easier because I know I'll be happy at either one of those.
I've been thinking about this decision for the past three months, and I figured that if I truly wanted to go to Ramapo not just because of the free ride, I would not have still been doubting whether I would be happy there the day before.
On the other hand, if I had a free ride to Muhlenberg or Albright I would have accepted it the minute I received it, so I think those are the schools I will be happy at, and I feel no regret with my decision.

I would have made the same decision!

I didn't orginally comment because it's an intensely personal decision with too many variables. But you've made the decision I would have made for _me_ on the same basis that I would have.
Based on the bio--and what else I've heard about the school--I'd now say, go with Muhlenberg.
But whatever way you go, good luck, Melanie.

Yeah, good decision. I'm glad you followed your heart, and not the money.

Great call Melanie :-)
You don't want to be 50 years old and looking back wishing you would have followed your heart with regrets. Good luck!
