If anyone has had any experiences with either Wabash College or Gettysburg College, good or bad, I'd appreciate postings on academic quality, quality of college life, pretty much anything. Thanks.

Well, obviously you know that one's coed and one isn't .

Wabash is an excellent school-they really are dedicated to developing leaders and provide all sorts of "extra" attention to the students they accept - one student mentioned taking free overnight field trips to Chicago paid for by the school, for example. They are also excellent about merit scholarships and financial aid. I've heard mixed reports about social life - some have mentioned lots of drinking on the weekends but I've heard from several current students that they're really happy with their experiences. Wabash has an exceptional grad school/progessional school placement rate and very loyal alumni who look after each other. Make sure to visit so you can see if it's the right place for you (they seem willing to fly many prospective students to campus)

Gettysburg is also an excellent school (although I'd give the edge to Wabash in academics) - Greeks are also big on campus, although the administration is trying to tone things down. Seems like more of a preppy atmosphere. Gettysburg doesn't offer much in terms of a "college town" - it's more of a tourist town - but Gettysburg seems to do a good job of brining events to campus.
