If you want to start your own business, the name or prestige of the school you choose isn't as important as finding one that has a strong program in entrepreneurship. The school should offer hands-on classes in business planning, new business marketing, venture capital finance and management. It is also a good sign when schools participate in national competitions aimed at entrepreneurship (i.e., business plan competitions), where many of the professors have actual experience running their own businesses or do research specifically on entrepreneurship, and opportunities for internships and mentorships at owner-run businesses.
Babson has the number one entrepreneurship program in the country. Some other very good programs: Arizona State U, San Diego State U, Temple, St. Louis University. You can find a complete list of schools with entrepreneurship majors or concentrations at: http://eweb.slu.edu/ent_college_list.htm

my thoughts on entrepreneurship programs:
they are useless and overrated
many schools do not even offer such a major
a Business Management or a Business Administrations major will sufficently encompass the same thing as an etrepreneurship program... only it leaves you with a wider scope of options incase your startup business flunks out

The best schools offer business plan competitions to help their students obtain venture capital financing. Some of the top competitions are held at Northeastern, MIT, and Babson.
