Vanderbilt sent me a DVD. I watched and was mesmerized. It seems like a very cool place to go... But the thing is a lot of schools have elaborate ad campaigns. Do you guys think that Vanderbilt is just trying (really hard) to win kids over? Or is Vanderbilt really what its cracked out be.

My dad went to Vanderbilt and absolutely loved it. It is a really good school academically and socially and the campus is amazing. You should definitely consider it. I would recommend visiting it when you have the chance.

It's very highly ranked on USNews: 19th.
I may be attending there next year and have visited twice (done an overnight). What specific questions do you have? The campus is beautiful, by the way.

No, Vanderbilt is very legit. Sick school, sick connections... sick social scene.
F&M is sick too... the school resembles a pimp.
Tons of sweet kids getting a sick education and sweet jobs before graduation. Btw, Chi Phi runs F&M.
Back to the point, Vandy is a very good school in a cool city. Do it.
