I'm leaning towards either Columbia or Dartmouth at the moment, but I've heard such great things about all of them that I'm having a hard time making a decision. I have no idea what I want to major in...*maybe* economics or political science, but I'm keeping my options open.

No No not Dartmouth for economics. I say Columbia or Georgetown. Penn if its Wharton but poli sci and Georgetown is better than Penn.

Well I'd say go with Dartmouth because of it's great undergraduate focus and lavish attention on students. Right now I'm trying to decide between Stanford, Dartmouth, and Princeton so I feel your pain. I can tell you this--Dartmouth's focus on undergraduates is unparalled by any other university....even Princeton. The only thing stopping me from going to Dart is that the prestige of Stanford and Princeton is too much of a temptation for me. But seeing as how you are choosing from Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn, and Georgetown, I think the choice is clear. Not only is Dartmouth more prestigious than all those aforementioned schools, but it is also the school that offers the best learning environment and educational opportunities. Go for the big green.

Oh and for economics and poli sci Dartmouth is just as good if not better than all those schools you mentioned. No employer or graduate school will even THINK about looking down on any kind of major from an ivy-league school. So good luck on your college selection process!
