i was wondering what are some of the best college student bodies out there? in terms of how friendly they are to one another, how active they are, how good looking and social they are and of COURSE how much do they want to learn and help each other out? none of this cut throat i have to be better than you type of stuff...

MY OPINION is that Williams, followed closely by Middlebury and Carleton have student bodies that fit your description the most closely.

Colgate hands down -- Vast majority are among the friendliest and most polite students around; they all look like they stepped out of A&F, J. Crew and Banana Republic ads; they all help each other out and look out for each other; they're all always doing something academically, culturally, athletically -- and the spirit on campus is among the most infectous in the US. Also, one website has said the happiest students in America go to Colgate. Even in its remote location in cows & corn New York, it's a great, great college with enthusiastic and selfless students, all working hard and playing hard to be the best that they can be - and helping each other to get there.
