Hi, I was just wondering whether anyone here has applied to or currently attends TU. As it is the only school to which I applied (I am kind of lazy), any information you could provide would be much appreciated. Thank you!

A number of my friends will be attending there next year, and I know a few people who go there now. From what I hear, it is a good school with nice class sizes. It's no Ivy, but it's definately not a "po-dunk" school. Although some have complained it is expensive, they also say they offer many scholarships to balance it out. Some one said that everyone there is on some sort of scholarship. Where are you from? Tulsa is a nice sized town, big enough to get good bands to perform, and generally what doesnt make it to Tulsa makes it to OK city, about 2 hours away.
Recently they had a scandle with some frat on campus i think. You may want to check their online newspaper if they have one. Why didnt you apply anywhere else?

I live in California, and Tulsa's generous National Merit scholarship program played a huge role in my decision to apply there. Thank you for responding.

Tulsa is a great school. I've actually got a full ride there, but I'm not sure I'm going, I'm looking at others. A good friend is there, she's in the NM program as well, and she absolutely loves it. It's terrific in just about every program it offers.

Tulsa also offers amazing research opportunities as an undergraduate.. I got involved in my own research project with a professor the summer BEFORE my freshman year, which is not all that uncommon and now, 2 years later, I will be listed as a co-author on the results of my research, which will be published in Inorganic Chemistry later this year.. It's definitely a plus if you're considering graduate school..
