I'd like some information on this place. More specifically, how's the biology program here? Is it a good place for undergraduate research?

I currently live about 20 minutes from the U of M, and unfortunately I don't know alot about the school except that everyone who goes there loves it. My one warning for you however is the weather. I recently moved up here from Cincinnati, and the Winters are hell. If you are from an area of cold climates U of M will be great, if not, consider the weather here as a large factor in your decision, because it gets cold.....oh so cold.

When it gets cold I put on more clothes.

Clothes only go so far, any exposed skin when your outside for more than five minutes is liable to frostbite, so while, your right; you can put on more and more clothes covering everything always gets old fast, not to mention 5 mph on the freeways when it snows (every other day)

Very good for biology. . .among the large midwestern universities, I think only UW-Madison and UM-Ann Arbor are rated more highly, and not by much. Good med school there, and a lot of medical busineses in the TwinCities.
