Hello, I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the direction of some schools with good IR programs that I would be a good fit for (or mabye some reach schools :-p ) Okay, heres what my school stats etc. look like:
Im a junior, my GPA is 3.4 unweighted and I'm taking the following courses:
AP English Lit
AP US history
Honors biology
Honors Spanish Language 4 (next year I'll do AP)
and Studio art 2.

Next year I plan on taking:
AP English Lang (5 english credits!)
AP Bio or environmental sciences
AP stats
AP spanish
(possibly AP physics as well)

I took the SAT's in janurary and got a 1430 (760V, 670M)

Im looking at NYU, Cornell (my dad went there) Bowdoin, Carleton college, USC, and Tufts.

I play varsity football, and I am in the running for being a captain next year. I have some EC's like president of Model UN club, and I lift weights (for football) and play soccer.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some schools that I could look at with good IR or Poli sci programs?

Also, what is the deal with athletics when it comes to admissions, do people who play sports have a greater leeway with reguards to GPA? Someone told me that, but i find it hard to believe...Anyways, thanks in advance.

Georgetown and Middlebury have excellent IR programs.
